Diddy’s Prison Release Date Moved Up Again to February 2028

Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to leave prison earlier than previously expected after his projected release date was moved forward again.
According to records from the US Federal Bureau of Prisons, the music mogul is now scheduled to be released on February 5, 2028, from the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
The latest change means Combs’ projected release date has been brought forward by more than two weeks. His previous release date was listed as February 20, 2028.
Diddy’s prison sentence
Combs is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after being convicted in 2025 on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines to engage in prostitution.
A federal jury acquitted him of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy following a high-profile trial in New York.
He was sentenced in October 2025 and began serving his sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey.
The case attracted worldwide attention after prosecutors presented evidence about sexual encounters involving Combs, his former girlfriends and male sex workers. Prosecutors referred to some of the encounters as “freak offs.”
Release date has changed several times
Combs’ projected release date has been adjusted several times since he was sentenced.
His initial release date was expected to be later in 2028, but the Bureau of Prisons subsequently moved the date forward on several occasions. The latest adjustment now puts his projected release date at February 5, 2028.
The Bureau of Prisons’ projected dates can change, meaning the February 5 date should not necessarily be treated as a guaranteed final release date.
Combs has also reportedly been involved in an altercation with another inmate while at Fort Dix, although officials have not publicly linked the latest release-date change to that incident.
For now, the latest Bureau of Prisons records indicate that the former music executive is expected to leave federal prison in February 2028.
