South Africa is preparing to host the G20 Leaders’ Summit on 22–23 November 2025 in Johannesburg, Gauteng, under the theme: Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability.
The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) has announced that media accreditation is now open for journalists wishing to cover the high-profile global gathering. Accreditation is strictly limited to working journalists affiliated with recognized media houses.

Accreditation Requirements:
- Journalists applying with passports must ensure their documents are valid for at least 30 days beyond the summit dates, with at least two blank pages available.
- All fields in the application form must be completed — incomplete forms will not be accepted.
- The accreditation deadline is 7 October 2025. No extensions or late applications will be considered.
